Japan started Red Scare.

June 9th , PM Shinzo Abe said "Left-wingers disturbed our speech at Shibuya Tokyo today. I felt my fighting
soul." .
On the Facebook and Twitter.

In the fact PM's speech was disturbed truly , but they were not left-wingers.

They were raising their voices about "TPP".
So it's including right-wingers and no-wingers so many.

Shinzo was saying "I will stop the TPP movement" before he became the PM.

But after he became the PM , he started saying "We are going to join the TPP".

So anti-TPP people were applied to march the street of Shibuya , before PM decided to go to Shibuya.

PM said that they camed to interrupt.
But it was him who came after ...

Now he and his stuffs started accusing and bashing left-wingers blindly.

I am not communist , but not communist hater.
I hope USA or some other countries stop Shinzo someday.

Do you know Tonkatsu?

I am Zhou Yilang , living in japan.
I don't know how to use English , but I don't care that.

I am a Tonkatsu freak!
Cooking Tonkatsu is so educational and good way to get stamina.
I cook Tonkatsu all Friday nights!

Tonkatsu is Japanese popular flied poke.

Most of Japanese people likes meets more than fishes these days.
Especially young people does.

Meets are taste good and smell good.
Fishes are a little bit hard to cook because they smell hard.
Maybe that's why meets are popular.

This meet eating culture came from America , with many other culture over 100 years ago.

Japanese hairstyle , clothes , vehicles , foods ...all styles of Japanese culture affected by foreign countries since when closed policy "Sakoku" by Japan government ended.

And about 100 years ago , Japanese people started eating Tonkatsu.

Tonkatsu is made of pokes , eggs , flour , black pepper , bread crumbs.

It's very hard to explain by my crazy English , but here's the my original Tonkatsu recipe.

1. Mix the pepper and flour in the 1st bowl.

2. Mix the eggs in the 2nd bowl.

3.Fill the bread crumb in the 3rd bowl.

4.Cut the pokes any size you want , and hit it! Again and again!!

5.Through the cut pokes in to the bowls , 1st bowl at first , 2nd bowl next , 3rd bowl the last.

6.Fly it!  Set the fire weak at first and set strong only the last 2minutes!

Tonkatsu is one of the best taste foods in the universe!

Do you know Kanji?

Japanese people using the Kanji letters for reading and writing.
The Kanji was developed by old Chinese people so so many years ago.

My name Zhou Yilang has three Kanji letters , and sorry foolish
Japanese Prime Minister's name Shinzo Abe has four Kanjis.
Most of Japanese names have four Kanjis.

And I saw many Chinese names and Korean names have Kanji letters.
Most of them has three letters.
So I feel familiar with those Chinese and Korean names only because my
name has three letters too.

And the first letter of my name Zhou is a popular name of Chinese name.
I saw so many Zhous in Chinese.
Even in the Memorial for Nanjing Massacre I saw many Zhous as the victims.

I am a Japanese but I hate the hysterical way of thinking of our ancestor.
They were too careful with the relationship with their neighborhood.
And they finally forgot the most important thing.

If I were in the same time and same place I did same , I think.
But now , we learned by the history.
But people can't realized what happened to our country going to take
same mistake.

Actually I have a doubt about the number of Chinese victims at the Nanjing.
But I believe that our ancestors killed so many people for what they
believed blindly.

I hope if Japanese people decided to hurt other people again then many
other countries take us down.

All I want is the peaceful life.
I'm praying for those killed Zhous and all of the other people
killed in action.

Do you know TOYOTA?

I am Zhou Yilang , living in japan.
I don't know how to use English , but I don't care that.

Today's picture , my car.
TOYOTA MR2 , it has its engine on the rearside.

It's a little bit hard to control when it starts spinning , but also tough like 4WD when it's climbing the snowroad.

I saw many Japanese cars in every foreign countries I have been to.

I feel so familiar with those
Japanese cars but I don't proud of it , because it's not my work.

Here's the problem about the Japanese wrong way of prouding.
They don't understand about that who has done the Japanese works in foreign countries.

If they involved they should proud of it.
But most of them didn't.

When Ichiro who made a new
a kind of record of American baseball , a Japanese reporter said like "Today is a great and special day to Japanese people isn't it?" to him.
But Ichiro said "It's special to me." to the reporter.

Feeling familiar is not bad.
It's ok by aybody , anywhere , anytime.
But can't be familiar with people on the TV without the luck or without the effort.

So I don't proud of Japanese cars all over the world.

But , I feel familiar with  those cars because I'm so familiar with those cars!

Do you know "Doemoe"?

I am Zhou Yilang , living in japan.
I don't know how to use English , but I don't care that.

We Japanese people say "Doemoe" everyday.
This "Doemoe"means like "Excuse me" or "Thank you" or "Hi" or something like that.
But sometimes means like "Somehow…".

Anyway you can use this "Doemoe" at any scene in Japan.

I am always trying make people to say "Doemoe" because it makes me feel better.
And one "Doemoe" makes more "Doemoe" like a virus.

Hatreds , doubts are infect like the virus but we have the "Doemoe" vaccine.

I know the smile works same , but our "Doemoe" works great.
"Doemoe" is the our magical word for the fan , for the trust , for the peace , for the hope.

We always ignore people fighting because they don't believe that our magical power.







If you practice the Japanese way of bowing"Ojigi" and "Doemoe" , you can join this our peaceful magical circle.
And you can adjust the degrees of "Ojigi" to show how thanks you want to , how useful bowing "Ojigi" is!



But that's a reason of I always wonder "How should I show my thankless to foreign people without my crazy English? Only I can do is Ojigi….".

Maybe I have to learn how to show thankless to foreign people and that's can be said to the government of Japan recently...

Do you know Showa?

I am Zhou Yilang , living in japan. 
I don't know how to use English , but I don't care that.

I was born in the year of Showa.
Showa is meaning Showa Emperor's term.
Showa Emperor's term was 1926-1988.
So we call the year of 1955  Showa 30 , 1945 Showa 20 , 1935 Showa 10.

And the next Heisei Emperor's term is 1988-now , so this year 2013 is Heisei 25.


Today's picture is scene of lake Okutama construction at the westside of Tokyo.
The letters written on bottom of picture are meaning it was Showa 17 July.
Showa 17 is 1942.

And I want write about the lake.
The construction started 1936 , finished 1957.

This lake is also known as Ogohchi Reservoir.
When the amount of water of Tokyo gets low , this reservoir starts working.
So this lake saving our lives for almost 60years.


The lake is surrounded by the woods because the woods are needed to reserve rain water under the ground.
The government of municipality taking care of both the lake and the woods.

Saving nature is saving water like rivers and lakes.
Same as other countries we learned how hard to protect the environment.
Water can't stay without the woods , woods can't live without the healthy ground , healthy ground can't be keeped without clean water.
So we have to keep the health of environment totally.

Most of these knowledge to protect the environment are from Europe I heard.
Germany and Swedish are our suggested model.

Welcome the nice globalization time!
Let's make this planet more smaller and semi for our better life...

Do you know Hinomaru?

I am Zhou Yilang , living in japan.
I don't know how to use English , but I don't care that.

Hinomaru is the national flag of Japan.

These days , Japanese nationalists making terrible images of Japan.
Some of us think that old Japanese imperial army were the army of justice.
I can't believe it but they believing it.

I am a nationalist too , but not because of old Japanese imperial army's doing.
I am a nationalist because I know how kind most of Japanese people is.

I'm so ashamed about the wrong style of nationalism known as Japanese nationalism.
 

Here's what most of Japanese people want to be like I think.
It's a words of a Japanese writer Kenji Miyazawa.

I hope someday every Japanese people recognize how we should try to be like.
And we have to get back our Hinomaru from the wrong nationalists.
And I'm still sorry about what Japanese crazy nationalists doing.

not losing to the rain
not losing to the wind
not losing to the snow nor to summer's heat
with a strong body

miso and some vegetables to eat
in everything
count yourself last and put others before you
watching and listening, and understanding

going and shouldering her sheaf of rice
if there is someone near death to the south
going and saying there's no need to be afraid
if there is a quarrel or a suit to the north
telling them to leave off with such waste
when there's drought, shedding tears of sympathy
when the summer's cold, wandering upset
called a blockhead by everyone
without being praised
without being blamed
such a person
